Restrictions on Non-Lethal Weapons.Air Tasers, Stun Guns and other self defense products restrictions. There should be no laws banning these highly effective non lethal means of protection for law abiding folks or other crazy restrictions on these. People can own a gun in basically every state in the US but some 10 states and other citys restrict Tasers and Stun guns by banning them or only allow certain people to have them. Its wrong. Don't get me wrong, I am a gun supporter and am a NRA member, but states allow honest people to tote around deadly firearms but not stun guns? What is wrong with this picture here? Stun guns save lives of the criminals. Instead people are forced to buy and obtain a license to carry a gun to defend themselves. Sure a gun saves the victims life but the criminal most of the time dies. You would think the government would rather have people carry around tasers and stun guns than loaded hand guns? I carry a gun for self defense and am licensed to do so. But I also carry a pepper spray with me as well to avoid having to use deadly force because I would hate to have to take another human life in defending myself from an attacker. I am all for better self defense laws for people who carry guns such as the castle doctrine but I am for equally good laws for non lethal products for people who carry guns to use before using their gun in a life or death situation or to stop the situation before it gets that far. If all you have is a gun you cannot stop the situation from going that far to life and death without shooting the criminal most of the time. So having a non lethal device to aid in that to help stop the situation before it gets ugly would be a good thing and save both of your lives. To get these good laws you have to contact your state legislators and governor and tell them you want stun guns and other non lethal weapons legal in your state or city because it makes sense to save lives. NY is a good example of a place where all stun guns are banned and you cannot carry hand guns there without a special permit from the city even though you have a NY permit to carry. People email me all the time from there saying how they get mugged and have nothing to defend themselves. They cannot even have a pepper spray in NY. Its crazy. People have the right to protect themselves from criminals. Its a god given right in my opinion. Criminals hardly use weapons such as tasers,stun guns or pepper sprays for attacking people. Its mostly guns and knives. So we need some serious change in this country for non lethal weapons. |
