We at Cook Self Defense Products strive to make it very easy and hassle free for our customers to place orders with us.
We have created this order policy so you know all there is to know about doing business with us
PLACING ORDERS
We have 2 ways for you to place orders: - Securely online through our secure shopping cart or by mail ordering.
Secure Online - This ordering method is done by first browsing through our website and adding the products you wish to order in our state of the art shopping cart that offers a 100% secured online checkout process.Then when it asks which
checkout method you want, choose "Secure Online". Your order will then be processed through 100% secure 128 bit encryption which completely scrambles your personal information and makes it totally unreadable to anyone else. After checking out is done, your order will
be placed with us instantly and you will receive an email receipt instantly right after you submit your order to us.
Mail Ordering - This option below describes how to mail in your order:
(1) Shopping Cart Offline Processing - This is a unique feature our shopping cart offers for those of you who prefer to mail in your orders.
To use this method simply browse our website, add the products you wish to order in our shopping cart, then when checking out choose the "Offline Processing" method.
At the end of the checkout process, our shopping cart will create a prefilled order form for you to print out and mail in to place your order. Please note that no kind of information
is transmitted to us when using this checkout ordering method. So we will have no record of your order until we receive it in the mail.
PHONE ORDERS - WE DON'T ACCEPT PHONE ORDERS, NO EXCEPTIONS!! The reason we don't accept telephone orders is due to inaccuracy problems which are common with phone orders, long wait times for customers and to help reduce and prevent fraudulent credit card orders which are very common with phone orders.
Back orders / Out of stock products
Check for out of stock products by checking our out of stock products list.
Single item orders - If an item you ordered is out of stock, we will email you and let you know. You will then have the option of back ordering the out of stock item or cancel the order for that item.
Orders with Multiple items - If you place an order with multiple items and one of the items or more would happen to be out of stock, we will email you and let you know. You will have the option to back order the out of stock item or items, remove the out of stock item or items from your order, or cancel the entire order. When you back order items, if your order total is under $50.00 not including shipping in that total, your entire order will be put on hold until the back ordered item or items comes into stock and will ship when the items come back in stock. If your order is over $50.00 not including shipping in that total, your in stock items will ship out right away at the time of the back order and the back ordered items will ship when they arrive back in stock seperately.
PAYMENT FOR ORDERS
We accept VISA / MASTERCARD / DISCOVER / AMERICAN EXPRESS cards.
VERY IMPORTANT - Credit Card transaction limit:
There is a $500.00 maximum charging limit for credit/debit card orders (Including shipping costs). We do realize that we carry products with prices in excess of $500.00. For those items or orders over $500.00, you can charge up to $500.00 at one time and pay the rest by mail by money order.
We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you but we cannot make any exceptions to this limit because this is our actual credit card processing limit our merchant account is set up for. This maybe changing in the near future as our business continues to grow and we out grow our current credit card processor and get another but for now this one fits our needs and therefore this limit will remain for the time being. THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING!
VERY IMPORTANT - Billing Address:
When we charge credit cards, we check to see if the address you provided matches the one on file with the card company. We use the AVS (Address Verification Service) through our credit card processor.
How this works is this, if you enter just one address in the ship to, that will be the address we use as the billing because the shipping and billing addresses are the same.
But if the ship to address you want the order shipped to is not the billing address for the credit card, you must provide it in the billing address section when checking out.
If the address you provide whether the shipping and billing are the same, or a different billing address, and when we charge your card and if it doesn't match the address on file (where the statements are sent to for the card), your order maybe canceled or placed on hold until we get the correct address from you.
We will notify you via email if the address doesn't match. You will have the option to respond to the email and provide us with the correct billing address or to cancel your order.
We apologize for the inconvenience but we do this to help protect our customers and us from fraudulent credit and debit card transactions.
CHECKS - WE DON'T ACCEPT ANY TYPE OF CHECKS FOR PAYMENT OF ORDERS, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Any checks we receive for payment of an order will not be cashed and will be sent back to the sender. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!
MONEY ORDERS - We accept money orders for payment of orders.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please make all money orders payable to: "MICHAEL COOK".
Please note that if we receive your money order and it is made out to our website business name "Cook Self Defense Products" or anything else other than just "MICHAEL COOK", your money order will not be accepted and will be sent back to you uncashed. So please once again, make sure you make money orders out to: "MICHAEL COOK". THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!!
PAYPAL PAYMENTS - We cannot accept Paypal payments, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
This concludes the ordering policy for our regular customers. If you have any other questions, please contact us. The below section is addressed to dealers, big volume buyers and other customers who want discounts on products because of buying in large bulk.
WHOLESALE PROSPECTS / BIG VOLUME ORDERS / QUANTITY DISCOUNTS
We are strictly a retail based store only. Which means we don't offer discounts for any large volume orders, nore do we change the price of any item. The price also stays the same regardless of how many of the same product you buy or how many products you purchase, no exceptions.
We also don't offer a wholesale program at this time nore do we offer our products for sale at wholesale prices as again we are strictly a retailer.
